Expertise
The Institute for Multimedia Production (IMP) deals with Media Convergence and Multimediality and, in particular, Innovative Storytelling Formats and Work Processes as well as Media Use in the Convergent Media Landscape and Multimedia Systems for Content Visualisation.
Degree programmes
The IMP offers a bachelor’s degree programme in Multimedia Production, which is like no other in Switzerland. This study programme combines corporate communication, journalism and technical know-how as part of an in-depth training offering.
Prospective multimedia producers acquire three key skills in a practical and project-oriented manner:
- The ability to write, speak, film and design in a narrative style (narrative expertise)
- The ability to produce media-specific contents (production expertise)
- The ability to work within a global network using interactive media (network expertise), especially including programming skills.
Research and consulting
The interdisciplinary team of the IMP comprises specialists from the specialist areas of communication, content production and programming and conducts application-oriented research and development activities in the field of Media Convergence and Multimediality.

Lab
The Digezz Media Lab 2.0 offers the perfect environment for the innovative linking of research and teaching by providing plenty of room for experiments.
