As a university, UAS Grisons promotes dynamic thinking and a proactive approach. This is the mindset it adopts towards the future, with an emphasis on courage and sustainability. Its study offers are based on practical challenges in the economy and society. It trains more than 2,200 students to become responsible individuals. The university offers courses in the fields of 'Architecture and Civil Engineering', 'Media, Technology and IT' and 'Business, Services and Information Science'. Its inter- and transdisciplinary research focusses on Applied Future Technologies, Alpine Region Development and Entrepreneurial Management. The activities of UAS Grisons contribute to the success and competitiveness of individuals, institutions and regions. It is anchored in the region, really counts for something in Switzerland and has an international appeal.

Due to its location at the heart of the Alps, away from the urban metropolises and surrounded by nature at its wildest, the UAS Grisons has always been driven to be innovative in the ideas and implementation of its programmes. The university sees being able to contribute to the success of bold ideas as a great privilege. As well as this pioneering spirit, alpine companies have always needed to be able to rely on one another and work together to survive in this environment. This solidarity and culture, alongside the three languages of German, Romansh and Italian, are key parts of the DNA of the Grisons. Through its study programmes and research projects, and in its role as an employer, the university proudly represents this DNA throughout Switzerland and beyond.
