Overview
The goal of outcome-oriented public management is that public administrations and institutions increasingly orient themselves towards measurable performance and impact. Tasks and responsibilities are to be delegated to the responsible administrative units at the appropriate level and the efficiency of service provision is to be increased. More and more, the municipalities enter into a permanent exchange with the population, but also with other partners. Therefore, (political) communication and digitalisation are gaining in importance in public administration.
Today, the public sector already uses advanced management and communication tools and is constantly developing them further. The Centre for Public Management supports public administrations and institutions in revising communication concepts, determining (digital) performance and effects, and develops new instruments in these areas in its research activities.
