Funding advice for your studies is available on the following platforms, among others:

Cantonal education grants

Cantonal education grants

Swiss universities of applied sciences are recognised by the Confederation and the cantons, which means students may be entitled to scholarships. The personal, family and financial circumstances of an applicant and their family have a bearing on their eligibility for cantonal education grants.

The respective cantonal scholarship offices are responsible for granting scholarships and loans to Swiss students. A scholarship application is usually submitted to the scholarship office in the parents’ canton of residence.

Foreign students can contact the relevant public funding institutions in their home country.

Private foundations

Private foundations

Some private foundations and funds can provide support. Non-governmental scholarships are usually aimed at high-achieving students. Often you must meet other requirements, or the focus is on a certain purpose, such as a stay abroad. Or funding is only available for certain fields of study.

In some cases, you can also apply for financial support from your canton of residence. Please contact the municipal office in your canton of residence for further information.
