Scholars at Risk
The University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons is a member of Scholars at Risk (SAR), a U.S.-based international network of academic institutions organized to support and defend the principles of academic freedom and to defend the human rights of scholars around the world. Network membership includes over 530 higher education institutions in 42 countries. The University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons is one of them.
SAR Switzerland is the coordinating body for Scholars at Risk network activities in Switzerland. The purpose of the section is to provide a vehicle for higher education institutions in Switzerland to cooperate in the defense of academic freedom and university values worldwide, including by hosting threatened and refugee scholars.
