Bruno Studer is Professor for Computer Science and Dean of the Department of Applied Future Technologies. In this function he is a member of the University Executive Board of the University of Applied Sciences Graubünden. In the Department of Applied Future Technologies, applications of key technologies (e.g. AI, Big Data, Internet of Things, sensors, 3D imaging, robotics) are developed. Particular emphasis is placed on data organization and data analysis, because “data is the oil of the 21st century” (Stefan Gross-Selbeck, CEO of the Xing business network).
In addition to managing the department, Studer teaches IT subjects and acquires and oversees interdisciplinary research projects. Bruno Studer is the author of three specialist books and numerous specialist articles. He is a member of various committees, among other things he is an international accreditation assessor for master’s and bachelor’s degree programs (at ASIIN).
Bruno Studer studied electrical engineering / information technology at the ETH Zurich. After several years as a software engineer and project manager at Alcatel Zurich, he moved to the University of Zurich, where he received his doctorate in computer science in 1995. He has been working at the University of Applied Sciences in Graubünden since 1998.
