On 1 August 2018, Ursin Solèr took up his position as a research assistant at the UAS Graubünden.
Ursin Solèr grew up in Tamins and Dübendorf and completed his apprenticeship as a physics laboratory technician at EMPA Dübendorf in 2002. After 5 years in industry and research with responsibility for various laboratories at PMOD/WRC and Zeochem AG, he began studying at the Department of Physics at ETH Zurich and completed his Master's degree in 2014. He then gained further experience as a research assistant in two groups at ETH and PSI. This was followed by didactic training (teaching diploma for Matura schools), employment as a vocational school teacher in Zurich and at the same time as an apprentice trainer at the ETH.
Ursin Solèr has been working at the FHGR as a research assistant since 2018 and has been a lecturer in photonics since 2022. In this role, he is responsible for the eye safety service, teaches in the Photonics, Mobile Robotics and Digital Supply Chain courses and researches the implementation of eye safety standards, the implementation and integration of robotic and optic systems.
He spends his free time with his family and hobbies.
